Skylake Pentium and Core-M Intel processors are popular in recent higher-end Chromebooks.

Skylake support is in its infancy, the status of which can be seen on the issue tracker here.

Factory firmware support for coreboot and SeaBIOS is generally good on Skylake models (though the Legacy Mode display resolution is off, and slow to redraw the screen), but custom firmware is also available which fixes these issues -- see Firmware.
